About Us

The passage of the Mosquito Abatement District Act (Chap. 111 ½, Illinois Revised Act) by the Illinois legislature in September 1927, prompted a group of citizens to work for the organization of a mosquito abatement program for the North Shore of Cook County.  This led to the establishment of the North Shore Mosquito Abatement District, which was officially chartered on December 8, 1927. Today, we continue to serve the residents of 13 communities of the North Shore. Please contact us with any questions about mosquito abatement.
