Adulticiding Program
Adulticiding schedule information is available on a recording at the
NSMAD district office, @ (847) 446 - 9434 and Press/Enter in FOUR(4)
anytime during the welcome message.
The parameters we generally use to initiate night-time adulticiding include:
A) The emergence of the combination of dead birds that are positive for WNV and,
B) Dead birds that are found in significant clusters/grouping and,
C) Positive mosquitoes, or
D) Human cases of WNV, or
E) All of the above.
Note: Limitations on our ability to adulticide may include such factors as weather or wind conditions
The following Map below reflects the geographic area for which
we provide service. Each section of the map has a specific
number assigned by Cook County. The schedule that appears
above the map indicates when the District expects to adulticide
specific map sections. This schedule is subject to change based
upon the weather and mosquito concentrations throughout the
